Australia’s beloved rock icon Jimmy Barnes is hitting the road this November for the Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour.
\nTo mark the milestone, he’s also releasing a deluxe edition of his legendary album ‘For the Working Class Man’ on November 14th via Mushroom Music.
\nOriginally released on December 4, 1985, the album shot straight to number one and helped cement Jimmy’s solo career. As the authors of The 100 Best Australian Albums put it, “It defined both him and much of Australia.”
\nOn tour, Barnesy will play the iconic album from start to finish, along with all the classics from his chart-topping catalogue.
\nWith Aussie music fans riding high on 80s nostalgia, he’s bringing along a stacked lineup of special guests: Icehouse, Cold Chisel bandmate Ian Moss, and Kate Ceberano.
\nThe six-date outdoor tour kicks off November 22nd at Mount Duneed Estate in Geelong and wraps February 7th at Sandalford Wines in Western Australia.

A man has died after reportedly falling at Oasis’ sold-out concert at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, August 2.
\nAccording to The Independent and the BBC, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was found with injuries “consistent with a fall” and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 10:19 p.m. during the band’s performance.
\nEmergency services, including police, medics, and the London Ambulance Service, responded quickly, but the man could not be saved.
\nAuthorities are now appealing to the public for help. “The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage,” the Metropolitan Police said, according to The Independent.
\nOasis released a statement, saying: “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”
\nWembley Stadium also responded in a statement to the BBC, saying: “Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.”
\nDespite the tragedy, the venue has confirmed that the August 3 concert will go ahead as planned. It marks the fifth of seven sold-out shows for the band’s headline-making reunion tour, with two more Wembley dates scheduled in September.

Justin Timberlake has revealed he’s been privately battling Lyme disease, describing it as “debilitating” in a candid Instagram post shared today.
\nIn an Instagram post reflecting on his Forget Tomorrow tour, which wrapped in Turkey this week, the 44-year-old said, “I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes.”
\nHe described the tick-borne illness as “relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” and said the diagnosis explained symptoms like nerve pain, extreme fatigue, and sickness during shows.
\nFaced with the tough choice to “Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out”, Timberlake said he chose to push through.
\n“The joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling.”
\nTimberlake went on to confirm that he’s “so glad [he] kept going” and shared that he opened up about his condition to not only connect with others also experiencing the disease.
\nThe former *NSYNC member also said he’s “trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren’t misinterpreted.”
\nBut what exactly was being misinterpreted?
\nSince launching his tour in April last year, Timberlake has faced criticism online for a series of “lacklustre” performances.

Emma Heming Willis has shut down reports claiming her husband, Bruce Willis, can no longer speak or walk, urging the media to stop giving “a platform to anonymous speculation.”
\n“To Whom It May Concern: If you ever come across a story that begins with ‘sources close to the family say…,’ do yourself a favor and stop reading,” she wrote on Instagram Stories on July 26.
\n“And to any outlet that runs with those kinds of stories, do better. Giving a platform to anonymous speculation is not only careless, it’s harmful. Onward,” she added.
\nSince meeting in 2007, Heming Willis has been a constant source of support for Bruce, particularly following his 2022 diagnosis of aphasia and later, frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
\nMarking their 17th anniversary in December 2024, she shared a moving tribute:
\n“Anniversaries used to bring excitement — now, if I’m honest, they stir up all the feelings … I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the ‘why him, why us,’ to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake it off and return to what is,” she wrote. “And what is… is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it, and it’s because of him. I’d do it all over again and again in a heartbeat.”
Since Bruce’s retirement, she has become an advocate for dementia research and caregiver support, launching Make Time Wellness to promote brain health.
\nIn March 2025, the family celebrated Bruce’s 70th birthday together.

Bend it like it’s 2002 all over again! Director Gurinder Chadha has confirmed a sequel to the beloved sports drama Bend It Like Beckham is officially in the works.
\nThe 2002 hit, starring Keira Knightley, Parminder Nagra, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is credited with inspiring a generation of girls to take up soccer. Now, Chadha says the time feels right to revisit the story.
\n“We’ve been part of changing the game for women, so it felt like this was a good time for me to go back and investigate the characters,” the 65-year-old director told the BBC.
\nShe says attitudes around women’s football have evolved since the film’s release, but there’s still work to be done.
\n“A lot has changed since the original movie, but I think that people still don’t think that women should play football,” she said.
\n“There are people who still don’t take it seriously, although the Lionesses are riding high.
\n“I’ve left it a while, but I thought: look at the Euros, look at the Lionesses.”
The original film grossed more than $70 million worldwide.

Ozzy Osbourne’s final months were captured for Home to Roost, a documentary series about his return to the UK after two decades in the US.
\nThe 76-year-old Black Sabbath legend died earlier this week after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
\nHis son Jack revealed the series follows Ozzy and Sharon’s move back to Buckinghamshire and that Ozzy had completed a memoir, Last Rites, set for release in 2025.
\nIn an interview given before Ozzy’s passing, Jack also discussed his role as co-producer on an upcoming biopic focused on the Sabbath era and early 1980s.
\n“This is by no means going to be a fluff piece,” he said. “Right now we’re going through a rewrite with Craig Borten, who wrote Dallas Buyers Club.”
\nOzzy’s death was announced by his family, who said he was “surrounded by love” when he passed.

Elvis fans were left crying in the chapel after attending Elvis Evolution, a new immersive show in London that promised cutting-edge AI and holographic projections of the King, but fell short of delivering the main attraction.
\nThe experience, created by Layered Reality, was first announced in January 2024 and hyped as a cutting-edge AI-driven concert featuring a “life-sized digital Elvis.”
\nWith ticket prices ranging from £75 to £300, fans were expecting big things… but Layered Reality failed to deliver.
\nOne attendee called it “one of the most misleading shows I’ve ever seen,” while others felt duped by the lack of any actual Elvis hologram.
\nLayered Reality responded, saying the concept had changed during the show’s two-year development. A spokesperson explained that they ultimately decided not to recreate Elvis’s performances, calling them “too iconic and irreplaceable.” Instead, they used AI to enhance archive footage and fill in the gaps where no original footage existed. They added that these changes were clarified when tickets went on sale in October 2024.
\nThe experience itself includes a journey through Elvis’s early years, a tropical-themed interval in a Hawaii-style bar (complete with cardboard Elvis), and a recreation of the iconic 1968 NBC comeback special.
\nFor those feeling fancy, the £300 Super VIP ticket includes mid-show champagne, commemorative glassware, three drinks, and cloakroom access.
\nCritics are split: The Telegraph gave it one star, calling it limp and lacklustre, while CityAM got all shook up, giving it four stars and describing the experience as “incredibly touching.”

Basic Instinct screenwriter Joe Eszterhas is rebooting the 1992 thriller with an “anti-woke” twist.
\nThe 80-year-old has signed a $4 million deal with Amazon/MGM to write the new screenplay.
\nThe reboot, backed by Scott Stuber’s United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios, raised eyebrows when it was announced five days ago.
\nAccording to The Wrap, the studios are investing heavily in the project, with Eszterhas returning to update the story he originally penned more than three decades ago.
\nThe 1992 original, directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas, became infamous for its erotic edge and psychological tension. Eszterhas was paid a then-record $3 million for the script, a rare deal even at the time.
\nAs for the reboot, Eszterhas says the story begins in 2025 and involves serial killers, copycats, and a supernatural twist. Catherine Tramell will return as a key character, and Eszterhas is hoping Sharon Stone will reprise her role, though she won’t be the lead this time.
\n“I can’t talk very much about the storyline at this point because much of it isn’t formed yet. It begins in 2025.
